Position Overview
Project Management Programs in the School of Professional Studies at the University of Kansas, Lawrence Campus, invite qualified scholars and professionals with experience in project management to submit applications that will be reviewed by the faculty and placed in a pool for consideration for part-time lecturer positions. A lecturer teaches an undergraduate or graduate level course, either in-person or online, and must possess an advanced terminal degree.
Lecturers report to the director of the Project Management Programs.

The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins. Any employment with the University of Kansas is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check. Appointments are one semester, renewable and subject to review, funding and adequate student enrollment.
Due to complex state employment laws, the University of Kansas may be unable to hire fully remote workers for this position outside of Kansas. Specifically, we cannot currently offer employment to candidates residing in the following states:
California, Delaware, Idaho, and Minnesota. We appreciate your understanding and invite interested individuals from eligible states to apply.
40% - Plans, prepares and presents lectures for one undergraduate or graduate course in project management based on an approved course syllabus. Depending on the program, course and semester, instruction may be in-person, primarily on the Lawrence Campus, or online. Courses are either eight or sixteen weeks in length.
40% - Develops assignments, projects and exams. Supervises projects, evaluates student work and provides feedback to students. Maintains office hours as necessary to meet students’ needs. In-person courses are live streamed and recorded to support remote students.
20% - Maintains technologies, including a learning management system and a classroom lecture recording system.
