North Dakota State Library is hiring a Grants and Data Coordinator to coordinate library grant programs, manage database and electronic resource subscriptions, and analyze statistical data for agency use. This role offers a unique opportunity to be directly involved in programs that support NDSL's mission: to strengthen and enhance ND libraries, connect people to reliable resources, and ignite lifelong learning.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Coordinating and administering NDSL federal, state, and private grant programs
- Reviewing grant applications, contracts, amendments, and reimbursement requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Developing, updating and maintaining grant guidelines, as well as identifying grant opportunities
- Coordinating the management and oversight of statewide and agency database subscriptions and electronic resources
- Developing, coordinating, and delivering trainings and professional development opportunities regarding grants and e‑resources
- Providing trainings, technical assistance, and support for the Webgrants system
- Retrieving, formatting, and analyzing monthly usage statistics from vendors
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining systems for collecting, validating, and analyzing agency and library statistics
- Preparing and submitting data for required federal and state reports
- Managing and maintaining library‑related databases, including a Microsoft Access database
- Collaborating with internal staff and libraries statewide to support data‑informed decision‑making and communications
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor's Degree plus two years of relevant professional experience OR a Master's of Library and Information Science plus one year of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with grant monitoring and compliance
- Experience with Microsoft Access or other database management experience
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
- A service‑oriented mindset
- Work Style:
North Dakota State Library uses a blended workplace model. This position may work from anywhere within the state of North Dakota - Shift: Monday - Friday, flexible scheduling available between the hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm
- Hiring Salary: $5,083 / month
