UCA invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, on-campus Clinical Instructor I (faculty) position. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis non‑tenure track position focuses on teaching didactic, clinical, simulation and laboratory courses. The faculty member will facilitate student learning, engage in scholarship/practice, and provide service at the institutional and professional levels.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe candidate MUST possess a passion for teaching. Articulate and speak authoritatively about the profession and its future direction. Demonstrate evidence of interpersonal skills, networking abilities, and intraprofessional and interprofessional collaboration. Create an environment that facilitates student learning and the achievement of desired outcomes. Strive to improve teaching on an on‑going basis. Help students integrate the values and behaviors expected of nurses.
Use a variety of strategies to assess and evaluate student learning. Assist with formulating program outcomes and designing curricula that reflect contemporary health care trends.

Education and/or Experience
The candidate MUST have:
- 1) Master’s degree in nursing.
- 2) Unencumbered RN license.
- 3) Clinical and/or teaching experience in Medical/Surgical Nursing. Candidates with other clinical specialties will be considered.
Must have all clinical requirements mandated by the clinical agencies used for student clinical experiences. These requirements include:
- 1) MMR (2 vaccines or a positive titer)
- 2) Varicella (2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer)
- 3) Hepatitis B (2 part series or positive surface antibodies above 10)
