Position InformationMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum of one (1) year’s experience recruiting students for educational opportunities.
- Ability to travel extensively (in and out of state) throughout the academic year, primarily in southwestern Michigan.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Master’s Degree.
Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Position DetailsThis is a remote position based in Traverse City, Michigan or the surrounding area. The employee must have a home office space in Traverse City or the surrounding area, with reliable, high‑speed internet and telephone access. A laptop, printer and basic office supplies will be provided; the employee will need to furnish other office space needs beyond these items. OU will provide a rental vehicle during peak recruitment travel periods.
Mileage will be given when personal vehicle usage is necessary outside of the peak recruitment season, when a rental is not provided.
Ensure that prospective students are recruited, admitted, and oriented to the university and assist in the facilitation of recruitment, yield, and transition programs.
