University Professor
The School of Nursing at the University of Virginia invites applications for an open-rank General Track faculty position. We seek candidates with experience teaching and mentoring DNP/APRN students and welcome expert clinicians in family, psychiatric-mental health, and acute/geriatric care populations. This is a 12-month, full-time faculty appointment. For candidates with appropriate experience and interest, opportunities for leadership within a program or in academic operations may be considered.
This is a teaching-focused position with primary responsibilities in our graduate programs, along with opportunities to contribute across all academic programs. In addition to teaching, faculty are encouraged to engage in service, clinical practice, scholarship, leadership, and student mentoring in ways that reflect their expertise and the needs of the school.
Working alongside nationally recognized nurse scholars, educators, and students, the successful candidate will help prepare the next generation of nurses and nurse practitioners. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation's top schools of nursing within a dynamic and collaborative university community. Rank and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and scholarship. The anticipated start date is Summer or Fall 2026.
Remote work negotiable.
