Role Description

The Brand Regional Counselor is a hybrid role with both in-person and remote work, traveling between regions. The primary purpose is to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program for all Ignite campuses.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Mental Health Promotion;
    Substance Abuse Prevention;
    Suicide Prevention;
    Grief Informed and Trauma Informed Practices;
    Building skills related to managing emotions, establishing positive relationships, and responsible decision‑making;
    Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports; and safe and supportive school climate.
  • Supporting our attendance goal of 97% ADA per campus and activating absent scholars.
  • Establishing relationships with scholars to support 90% student retention.
  • Collaborating with campus staff and administrators to provide wrap‑around services for student needs.
  • Using development guidance theories and techniques to counsel individuals or small groups.
  • Providing preventive, remedial, and crisis counseling as needed.
  • Coordinating school, home, and community resources and referring students or parents to special services.
  • Advocating for individual students and specific groups.
  • Planning, implementing, evaluating, and promoting continuous improvement of a balanced mental/behavioral guidance program.
  • Planning and conducting lessons aligned with the Ignite mission and current curriculum.
  • Maintaining reports, records, and documents.
  • Complying with mental health counseling policies, federal and state law, and board policy.
  • Providing career education opportunities.
  • Providing professional development for campus staff on mental health awareness.
  • Following district and campus routines and regulations.
  • Adhering to legal, ethical, and professional standards for school counselors.
  • Traveling as required.
  • Other duties broadly aligned with these responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas school counselor certificate.
  • 2+ years of teaching experience.
Key Performance Indicators
  • 95% ADA at all Ignite Campuses.
  • 90% Student Retention on all Campuses.
Additional Information

Salary: $70,000 to $70,000 (211 – Title I Part

A). The position is full‑time. The base salary is competitive, commensurate with experience. Responsive Education Solutions offers a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage and retirement.

This position is grant‑funded and is contingent upon continued federal funding; employment may be terminated if grant funding ceases or is reduced.
