Student Health and Counseling Center is recruiting a team leader for Peer Health Educators providing bystander intervention training for sexual assault/domestic violence prevention and health/wellness education programs across campus. This position is up to 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Peer Health Educators delivering bystander intervention training on sexual assault and domestic violence prevention.
  • Provide health and wellness education across campus.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in public health programming and presenting health education to peers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking to diverse audiences.
  • Effective organization, dependability, ability to lead, and collaborative teamwork.
  • Understanding of public health frameworks, experience with social media maintenance and Canva, prior experience as a Peer Health Educator or mentoring.
  • Successful completion of at least two years as a college student with progress toward a Bachelor's degree.
Position Details

Part‑time, non‑exempt temporary staff. New hires will be placed on the University of Alaska Temp Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.

This is a pooled position; applications are reviewed as needed. Submission does not guarantee review or offer.

Employees may be required to work on‑site; hybrid and remote work may be approved for employees based in Alaska at the University’s discretion. Remote work for employees based outside Alaska may be approved only in exceptional circumstances or when required by the position’s job duties.
