Overview
The Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles (CCALA) is a partnership of ten Resource and Referral and Alternative Payment agencies in Los Angeles County. Together, our agencies deliver services to thousands of families and child care providers.
Services include training and one-on-one coaching for childcare providers to improve the work they do with children; assisting parents in finding and identifying quality childcare; and providing information to parents and childcare providers on topics such as child development and childcare best practices. Through our member agencies, CCALA has the ability to reach providers, families and children at a grass-roots level in multiple languages and a strong understanding of their areas’ unique communities.
CCALA is the glue that brings together our ten member agencies around:
- Best practices and standardized methods in the child care voucher programs.
- Advocacy on behalf of working parents and their children and early childhood educators, as well as for improvements to government systems and programs.
- Collaboration and coordination of county-wide services to families and providers in the areas of improving child care quality and well-being of the child.
- Valued leadership as champions for equity and inclusion, and impactful, high-quality programs and services.

SummaryThe Program Assistant–Professional Development supports the QSLA Professional Development Manager and PD Team at the Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles (CCALA) in delivering professional development and family education services for Quality Start Los Angeles (QSLA). This role provides administrative, logistical, and communication support for virtual and in-person trainings for early educators and partners, ensuring accurate records, smooth coordination, and high-quality service delivery.
The Program Assistant serves as a key point of contact for internal staff, external partners, and early learning providers, helping strengthen QSLA’s professional development services and resources.
Essential Functions- Support implementation of QSLA’s Professional Development Scope of Work
- Maintain program records, documentation, and training supply inventory
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take notes, and manage communications
- Assist with sourcing, organizing, and preparing training materials
- Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person trainings (scheduling, space, supplies, food, materials)
- Provide day-of and technical support for training events
- Serve as point of contact for training-related inquiries
- Track attendance, maintain accurate training data, and complete post-training follow-up
- Coordinate with E-Learning and Communications teams to support outreach and training updates
- Support shipping of training materials to early educators as needed
- Work occasionally evenings and Saturdays

- Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant administrative, program support, or event coordination experience
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English or Mandarin/English)
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
