As the Brand Regional Counselor, you’ll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring the mental wellness and developing the morale compass for each of our communities. You’ll design and lead efficient, safe, joyful, and just character lessons that promote inclusivity, ensuring that every student, family, and staff member has what they need to succeed. Your role will be pivotal in removing obstacles to learning and finding creative solutions to challenges, all while providing best‑in‑class customer service to our community.
Role DescriptionThe Brand Counselor role is a hybrid role with both in‑person and remote work with travel expected between regions.
The primary purpose of the Brand Counselor is to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program for all Ignite campuses. The individual will counsel students to fully develop each student’s academic, career, personal, and social abilities and address the needs of special population students. Additionally, the Counselor will evaluate and administer a comprehensive mental health guidance and counseling program.
The individual will counsel students and promote mental wellbeing inclusive of suicide prevention, grief, and positive behavior interventions. In addition, the Brand Counselor will promote character development and provide community resources to all campuses for the emotional well being of all stakeholders.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas school counselor certificate
- 2+ years of teaching experience
- 95% ADA at all Ignite Campuses
- 90% Student Retention on all Campuses
- Mental Health Promotion;
Substance Abuse Prevention;
Suicide Prevention;
Grief Informed and Trauma Informed Practices;
Building skills related to managing emotions, establishing and maintaining positive relationships, and responsible decision‑making;
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports; and Safe and Supportive School Climate. - Supporting our attendance goal of 97% ADA per campus. Activating and working with absent scholars based on our attendance matrix.
- Establishing relationships with scholars to support our student retention goal of 90%.
- Collaborating with campus staff and administrators to provide wrap‑around services for student’s needs.
- Using accepted theories and effective techniques of developmental guidance to counsel individual students, small groups of students, and parents to plan, monitor, and manage a student’s own personal and social development.
- Providing preventive, remedial, and crisis counseling as needed.
- Coordinating school, home, and community resources and referring students, parents, and others to special programs and services as needed.
