Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Cyber Systems Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify specific training needs and develop solutions.
  • Enhance system user experience through developer advocacy, utilizing feedback to champion developer needs and improve overall usability of technical products.
  • Develop range of instructional materials and products for technology‑based courses, including online, immersive and performance support (e.g., computer‑based training, videos, instructional guides).
  • Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.
  • Create and analyze assessments to evaluate learning effectiveness and instructional improvement opportunities, including knowledge checks.
  • 10% travel required.
Basic Qualifications for Technical Trainer
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) plus 3 years of relevant work experience.
    • Master of Science Degree in a relevant field or STEM discipline plus 2 years of relevant work experience.
    • 5 years of relevant work experience in a relevant field or STEM discipline with at least 3 years as a technical instructor/teacher may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • US Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance to be considered. TS/SCI clearance must be in place by the start date and must stay in place through employment.
  • Proven ability to lead training through in‑person workshops, virtual classrooms, and live webinars, for audiences ranging from engineers and product owners to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with subject‑matter experts to craft storyboards, scripts, and visual‑narrative concepts that translate complex technical material into engaging learning experiences.
  • Experience creating operational procedures, quick‑reference guides, and other supporting documentation.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro  (or comparable software) to edit, color‑grade, and add motion graphics/closed captions for high‑impact demos, step‑by‑step instructional walkthroughs, and reusable training assets.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Technical Trainer
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
    • Master of Science Degree in a relevant field or STEM discipline plus 3 years of relevant work experience.
    • 9 years of relevant work experience in a relevant field or STEM discipline with at least 3 years as a technical instructor/teacher may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • US Citizenship
