About the Organization

Security Benefit Academy is a premier early childcare and education center located in Topeka, Kansas.

Associate Teacher – full‑time, four 10‑hour days per week, based at the home office in Topeka, Kansas.

• Develop and execute a program of activities that engage children in STEM and Fine Arts.
• Maintain a positive, warm, encouraging environment that follows all health and safety requirements.
• Establish and maintain a daily schedule, prepare and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Implement Conscious Discipline in the classroom and provide age‑appropriate outdoor activities.
• Monitor, mentor, and guide camp teachers.
• Continuously supervise and interact with children individually and in groups.
• Carry out lesson plans established by the Classroom Teacher throughout the center.
• Cover center rooms when the primary teacher is on PTO.
• Float the building, give PC’s breaks.
• Adhere to all licensing regulations, center policies, and procedures.

• At least 18 years old.
• College degree in Early Childhood or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility.
• Respectful and caring mindset toward children.
• Basic understanding of child growth and development.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and flexibility.
• Light to medium lifting required; able to lift up to 40 lbs, 50 lbs in emergencies.
• Able to walk, stand, and work inside and outside year‑round.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to input data and communicate with parents.
