Part‑Time Faculty — Business Administration (Accounting & Finance)
Portland Community College is accepting applications for a Part‑Time Faculty Interest Pool in Business Administration:
Accounting and Finance. This interest pool is not an open position at this time; appointments will be made during the Academic Year based on course assignment needs. New applications will be reviewed monthly.
Location Requirement: Employment is limited to individuals residing in Oregon or Washington. Applicants must be able to establish residence in one of these states.
ResponsibilitiesFaculty will teach Business courses in various modes of instruction, including face‑to‑face on campus (Sylvania, Rock Creek, Southeast, or Cascade) and online, as determined by program needs.
Instructor Qualifications- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; completed at least 30 quarter hours of accounting credits (undergraduate or graduate); at least 3 years full‑time‑equivalent non‑teaching accounting work experience; CPA or CMA licensure; prior teaching experience preferred.

Post‑baccalaureate certificate in accounting or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; completed at least 30 quarter hours of accounting credits; more than 3 years full‑time‑equivalent non‑teaching accounting work experience; CPA or CMA licensure; teaching experience preferred.

Compensation & BenefitsPart‑time faculty are generally hired at Step 1 of the current salary schedule. Hourly rates vary by course type (Lecture, Lab, or Lecture/Lab). Eligible faculty may receive benefits such as Oregon Sick Leave and retirement savings plans. Detailed benefit information and enrollment procedures are available /hr/benefits.
