Psychological Sciences - Full-time Faculty About the role
Full‑time (24 credit load), tenure‑track position in the Department of Psychological Sciences, including teaching, research, mentoring of undergraduate students, and service to the university.
What you’ll do- Teach a combination of courses such as Principles of Counseling, Forensic Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Introduction to Psychology, Psychological Statistics, Research Methods, Internship, Senior Seminar, courses in the psychological trauma minor, or other courses as needed.
- Mentor and advise student research projects.
- Advise undergraduate students regarding academic plans and career goals.
- Collaborate in departmental programming.
- Serve on university committees as assigned.
- Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline.
Ph.D., Psy.
D., or ABD in Psychology or a related field.
- Ability to teach Principles of Counseling or Forensic Psychology, and other courses reflecting the candidate’s specialty or department needs.
- Ability to engage with and mentor students.
- Demonstrated research plan and commitment to involving students in research projects.
- Commitment to exploring possible connections between psychology and the Christian Faith.
- Understanding of and commitment to Bethel’s efforts to develop an inclusively excellent university community.
- Teaching and research experience preferred.

CompensationAssistant Professor: $55,599 – $70,043
Associate Professor: $62,927 – $84,168
Full Professor: $77,265 – $95,904
Salary and rank are determined by education and experience.
