Middle School Science TeacherRegular Full Time – 10 months, certified, Mill City, OR, US.
Salary Range: $45,801.00 to $87,702.00 annually.
School SummaryOregon Charter Academy (ORCA) is a virtual public school serving students in grades K–12 throughout the state. Teachers at ORCA are student‑focused, adapting to meet students’ educational needs through personalized learning using our high‑quality curriculum and the teaching of 21st‑century skills. ORCA is authorized by the Santiam Canyon School District, governed by its independent charter school board, and has been in operation since 2005.
The school is accredited through Cognia.
The Middle School Science Teacher will work primarily from home within Oregon, will be an integral part of the Middle School Team, and will report to the Middle School Principal. Responsibilities include managing student learning and academic achievement, delivering instruction, building curriculum, and participating in peer‑observation cycles.
The teacher will:
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
- Deliver engaging instruction through virtual “live” classes and asynchronous methods.
- Build and individualize curriculum.
- Attend both virtual and in‑person school events.
- Communicate with parents and students regularly to provide timely feedback on student progress and expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues via asynchronous and synchronous methods.
- Participate in peer‑observation cycles.
- Support the school‑wide community as outlined by school practices.
- Salary Range: $45,801.00 to $87,702.00 annually.
- Predominantly work from home.
