Description
Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the discipline of Political Science.
Responsibilities- Instruct students in the assigned discipline.
- Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, online courses, and/or off-campus sites.
- Master’s degree in political science, government, or international relations, OR a bachelor’s in one of these fields with a Master’s in economics, history, public administration, social science, sociology, ethnic studies, JD, or LL.B., OR equivalent credentials.
- Antelope Valley College Equivalency requirements: none.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (Assembly Bill 1725; Education Code 87360).
- Attach application, current resume, letter of intent addressing minimum and desirable qualifications, scanned copy of official transcripts (with certified U.S. equivalency if foreign), and two current professional reference letters signed and dated within the last year.
- Applications missing required documents or containing incomplete statements will not be considered.
- Each recruitment is conducted independently; submit separate complete application packages for each position.
- Applicants may be required to pass a written/technical examination appropriate to the position.
- Residency within a reasonable geographic area of the college may be necessary.
- Travel expenses for pre-employment interviews and employment processing will not be paid.
