What You Will Do:
This position works closely with Nature Bridge’s National Director of Education and campus-based education teams. You will be involved in project management, leading and developing staff training for educators and Education Managers, curriculum development, as well as organization-wide administrative functions such as uniform ordering and database integration. You will also serve as a representative of Nature Bridge in regional meetings and conferences.
This is a new position to Nature Bridge and the job will evolve to fit emerging needs and the growth of the candidate.
This is a primarily remote position for a candidate near our Golden Gate or Yosemite campuses (Sausalito, CA; Mariposa, CA) and requires periodic travel to Nature Bridge campuses.
Your primary job will be:
Project and Systems Management – 50%
The National Education Manager oversees the management of our existing systems, including digital resources, feedback systems, manager training modules, and budget processing, as well as organization-wide administrative functions such as uniform ordering and database integration. This also includes administrative support including scheduling meetings, processing reimbursements and note taking.
Curriculum & Staff Development – 40%
The National Education Manager regularly collaborates with campus teams to ensure high quality training is in place for education department team members and program curriculum is up to date and reflects current preferred practices in the EE field. This includes coaching, thought partnership, and team member support. You will:
- Recommend strategies related to emerging topics in education, such as Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), climate literacy, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (EI&D).
- Collaborate to develop climate literacy capacity building to develop a cohesive organizational approach to climate literacy curriculum
- Lead and contributes to inter-campus education team meetings to promote professional development and systems alignment
- Travels to campuses to lead staff trainings and support programming as needed, including our annual Education Leadership Team Summit
- Regularly engage in personal and professional goal setting and growth in equity and inclusion
Strategic Partnerships – 10%
- Represent Nature Bridge and take an active leadership role among committees and professional associations related to environmental education, diversity and/or science education
- Identify opportunities for organizational and regional collaboration with partners and groups
- Support formal program evaluation efforts in conjunction with partner researchers
- Establishes and maintains respectful, supportive and compassionate relationships with staff, volunteers and participants
- Presents with confidence in front of a variety of audiences, including students, teachers, board members, staff and the general public
Compensation:
- $63-66,000 annual salary

Who You Are:
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing and implementing environmental education programming
- Demonstrated success in supervising, mentoring and/or coaching educators and/or managers, and developing professional development for educators and/or managers
