Under the direction of an ECE Manager, the Education & Family Support Services Coordinator will coordinate and oversee direct services for the Home-Based Early Head Start program and Center-Based Early Head Start family support work.
Salary:
The full annual salary range is $61,566.62 - $74,908.09.Offers are made at the entry level of the range.
Assignment:
This position will be full-time, 255 days per year. The position also requires a criminal history check and fingerprint check through the Department of Children, Youth and Families(DCYF) as well as a health exam, TB test, and proof of MMR immunization or exemption prior to starting. Valid certification in CPR and first-aid, HIV/Blood Borne Pathogens training, and current food handler's card will also be required, but can be obtained after hire.
Regularattendance required:This role relies on regular and reliable attendance to ensure consistency for our students and help support a positive, productive learning environment.
A complete application will include:
Supervise, evaluate and train staff as applicable including providing a variety of job-embedded professional learning experiences such as observations, reflective supervision, reflective practice, training, coaching, and mentoring.
Provide leadership and oversight to ensure compliance with performance standards, regulations, policies and procedures, and contract deliverables as well as documentation, reporting and monitoring program data.
Actively participate in the on-going and continuous quality improvement process by analyzing data, reflecting on current practices, identifying opportunities for growth, supporting staff in implementing goals, assessing impacts, and re-evaluating next steps.
Provide support and guidance to Education and Family Support Specialists using the principles of home visiting and case management including SMART goal setting with families.
Support and model effective high-quality instructional practices for education and family support staff with the implementation of curriculum and assessment and strengthening instructional practices.
Work collaboratively with families, staff, and community partners to meet the needs of individual children and build on their strengths with concern for age, interest, disabilities, special talents, cultural backgrounds and individual styles.
Serve as a substitute home visitor when Education and Family Support Services staff are unable to meet with families, due to absences and/or vacant positions.
Ensure that prenatal women have support and access to community resources.
Provide support and guidance for monthly Community Connects Parent Meetings, family engagement activities, parent/child Playgroups and Policy Council events.
Maintain strong relationships with other educational services within ESD 112, such as ESIT, and participate in community meetings.
Maintain regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
