University Partners Course Mentor, Fashion/Business
Prerequisite:
Applicants should have education or experience in Fashion and/or Business.
Although this is a remote position, the role is under Kaplan North America, a U.S. based company. Employees must be eligible to work in the U.S. and perform work within the U.S.
Key Responsibilities- Provide async guidance, feedback, and answer questions.
- Review course assignments and provide direction.
- Answer ad‑hoc questions throughout the course session.
- Brainstorm and ideate with students on their final project idea(s).
- Be familiar with all course material.
- Check‑in with the program staff at specified periods.
- Report back on student engagement as requested.
Approximately 3‑10+ hours per week of async engagement, feedback, and small operational tasks. Commitment will vary based on number of students assigned and is expected to be heavier during the summer months (May - August).
Qualifications- Strong passion for course related topics.
- Experience working with adolescents/teens ages 13‑17 from diverse geographical and socio‑economic backgrounds.
- Passion for helping others achieve their goals with an emphasis on delighting and engaging students.
- Ability to work in the absence of direct supervisory relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and work in digital communication platforms such as email, Zoom, Google Hangouts, or Canvas.
- Background check required.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour.
