Applicants MUST be a current student at Digi Pen Institute of Technology to qualify for this position.
* Student Employment at Digi Pen is open to all currently matriculated students if they meet the qualifications for the job.
* Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early.
* Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted. This position is ONLY open to current students, eligible for Federal Work Study, with an accepted FWS award.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Management *
* Conduct routine inventory counts and report low-stock items
* Assist with receiving and organizing incoming donations and deliveries Food Safety & Expiration Monitoring *
- Regularly check expiration dates on all food items
* Remove and properly dispose of expired or damaged goods
* Rotate stock using First In, First Out and expiration date best practices Pantry Organization & Maintenance * - Keep shelves, storage areas, and work spaces clean and orderly
* Categorize and label food items for easy access
* Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Pantry Restocking * - Refill shelves and distribution areas as needed
* Ensure equitable distribution and availability of food items Advertising and Marketing * - Create and distribute informational materials about the Nest of Necessities availability to current student Educational Materials Creation and Distribution *
- Create and distribute educational materials about food insecurity and how the campus food pantry provides support for current students General Support *
- Support special events, donation drives, or outreach efforts as needed
* Perform additional duties assigned by supervisor Qualifications
* Currently enrolled student with accepted federal work study eligibility based on their 25-26 FAFSA in good academic standing
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to lift and move boxes of inventory, up to 30 pounds
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience with inventory, retail, or food service
* Familiarity with food safety practices
* Interest in community service or food security initiatives Students will be selected through review of their submissions and an interview process. Work Schedule Flexible hours Monday - Thursday and Friday mornings, based on student availability and pantry needs Expected dates of employment:
April 24 - May 31, 2026 Expected number of hours per week: 20
* Once again, students are not permitted to work during any time when they are scheduled for a class.
* Wage:
Wage ranges are based on Washington State's minimum wage requirements. $20.00 per hour Requirements to Apply:

* A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with Digi Pen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying! Once you have applied for - and the supervisor decides to offer you - a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived.
