Position: Core Faculty (Open Rank, Non-Tenure Track), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program (FT, Remote/Hybrid)
Wilson College invites applications for full-time, 12-month, open-rank, non-tenure-track Core Faculty positions in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program, with an anticipated start date of March 2027. Wilson College's DPT Program is an accelerated, hybrid model designed to prepare graduates for contemporary clinical practice. The program will enroll its inaugural cohort in August 2027 and admits one cohort annually, fostering a highly engaged, mentorship-focused learning environment.

We seek collaborative, student-centered faculty who are energized by the opportunity to help shape and grow a developing program, contribute to student success, and engage in teaching, scholarship, and service within a supportive academic community. Program Model Hybrid delivery model combining remote didactic instruction with in-person laboratory immersions each term Lab immersions held in King of Prussia, PA Shared facility with Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Physical Therapy programs Emphasis on interprofessional education and collaborative learning Areas of Expertise We are seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Basic Science Human cadaver laboratory instruction Human physiology and pathophysiology Neuroscience Clinical Practice Cardiopulmonary physical therapy Geriatrics Neuromuscular physical therapy Pediatrics Primary care Research methods and statistics Therapeutic modalities Additional Areas Professional practice and physical therapy management Interprofessional education Differential diagnosis Therapeutic exercise Candidates with other relevant areas of expertise are also encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications (Candidates who do not meet minimum qualifications will not be considered.) Earned Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT or tDPT) or terminal doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or related) from a regionally accredited institution Demonstrated teaching effectiveness, including experience teaching didactic and/or lab-based courses in a DPT or related curriculum Content expertise in a defined area of teaching specialization ABPTS board certification in an area of teaching expertise Ability to engage in scholarship, research, or creative work appropriate to the profession Commitment to service within an academic institution Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice, including student advising and mentorship Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, and professional issues in physical therapy education and practice Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of residence Active participation in professional activities at the local, state, or national level Strong written and oral communication skills

Key Responsibilities /Essential Job Functions Core faculty hold academic or clinical faculty appointments and are responsible for teaching, scholarship, and service consistent with the mission and philosophy of the DPT Program.
1. Teaching Teaching is the primary responsibility of Regular Faculty and specific functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop a syllabus of course activities that meet the requirements of the course description, establish appropriate student learning outcomes, and provide for appropriate class activities throughout the semester Plan and deliver individual classes via distance education or face-to-face lab instruction that conform to the syllabus and other requirements of the University. Demonstrate a command of the discipline and skill in presenting it effectively in the context of an integrated education.

Maintain accurate and complete records on student participation and performance, use appropriate measures and evaluate student performance on the basis of established student learning outcomes, provide timely feedback to students and assign grades that are an accurate and fair evaluation of student work. Submit grades and any other required documentation in a timely manner. Administer student evaluations of faculty at the end of each course, review evaluation summaries, and meet with the department chair and dean to review.

Post and maintain regular office hours at times reasonably convenient for students. Serve as an advisor to students to assist them in understanding the curriculum and mentor them as they prepare for clinical education and their careers. In addition to formal course loads, bear their fair share of the faculty responsibility for supervising student research, clinical education, and independent study.

Meet deadlines and follow directions of the program/department chair, associate dean or dean of the college. Evaluate the teaching of colleagues through the process of peer review as requested. Prepare Professional Development Plans or Progress Briefs and reappointment/promotion applications according to established guidelines. Promote student success by following attendance-related requirements found in the Academic Affairs Policies and Procedures Manual
