Job Summary: Behavior Interventionist works closely with the Administrative team to identify, track and support students in receiving access to the general curriculum. Attendance and physical presence are required and is an essential function of this position. .
Essential Functions:
-Conduct functional behavior analysis
-Create Behavior Plans and Behavior Contracts for Tier 3 students and track for completion.
-Establish a direct line of support between family, school, and community services
-Conduct small group/individual interventions for Tier 3
-Support students academically with work completion
-Run programs such as structured recess, in-school suspension, and detention
-Attend Intervention Team meetings for students with high or increasing behavior incidents;
Collect required data and share with the SIT (Student Intervention Team)/SST (Student Support Team) as needed.
-Provide teachers with feedback on best practices to meet the needs of individual students.
-Push-in behavior support for individual students in the gen. ed classroom
-CPI or other Safety & De-escalation Training
-Collaborate with Counselors, Climate and Culture Admin, and Principal to refine Tier 1, 2, and 3 socio-emotional/behavioral support services.
-Coordinate, collaborate, and communicate regularly with teachers, transportation (if applicable), and related services to develop and implement consistent behavioral management plans across settings (school, home, all classes, bus, lunch, transitions, recess, etc.).
-Assist and support students in crisis.
-Promote the importance and study of the Greek language and Hellenic Principles to all students and families, including those receiving additional services.
-Provide guidance on helping all students feel included in a multilingual, multicultural learning environment.
-Build the capacity of all staff to serve the socio-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of a diverse student population.

-Ability to assist students in a variety of situations that may arise.
-Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, clients, and the public.
-CPI or other Safety & De-escalation Training
-Ability to effectively interact with staff, students, administration, and the community both in person and on the telephone.
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding client information.
-Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements.
-Exhibit ability to effectively organize and plan field-work schedule to best serve and maximize the needs of clients, i.e., arranging home-based meetings, agency meetings, and care coordinator meetings.
-Current Delaware Operator's Driver's License and reliable transportation. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-(handicap) accessible equipped residences/facilities.
-Data compilation, organization, and analysis competency.
-Cross-cultural competence.
-A willingness to learn and use phrases in new languages and work with a multicultural population.
Required Education and Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field
