Position: Student Research Assistant - PSY (FWSA Only), Su26
Applicants MUST be a current student at Digi Pen Institute of Technology to qualify for this position.
* Student Employment at Digi Pen is open to all currently matriculated students if they meet the qualifications for the job.
* Students may not work during any time when they have a class scheduled, a class is canceled, or a class ends early.
* Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted. This position is ONLY open to current students, eligible for Federal Work Study, with an accepted FWS award.

Digi Pen Institute of Technology 9931 Willows Road Redmond, WA Psychology Student Research Assistant working with Professor Christopher Hawk
* Assist with human-subjects research, including:
* Setting up lab space
* Running participants through study protocols
* Consolidating and organizing data
* Compensating participants
* Maintaining accurate records
* Support background research efforts:
* Conduct literature searches
* Read, catalog, and store academic articles
* Contribute to literature reviews and IRB applications
* May assist with:
* Developing study materials or stimuli
* Coding and analyzing raw data
* Other research-related tasks as needed
* Work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Track and report hours worked accurately Qualifications/Competencies
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to work independently
* Preferred:
* Experience in R for data analysis
* Experience with Python
* Preferred:
* Experience with literature reviews or data collection
* Eligible for Federal Work Study, with an accepted FWS award Expected dates of employment:
May 4 - 31, 2026 Expected number of hours per week: 20

    Working Conditions:

    The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. Digi Pen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
    * Are currently a Matriculated student at Digi Pen Institute of Technology
    * Good Academic Standing - not on Academic Warning as defined in Digi Pen Course Catalog
    * A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Requirement Exceptions:
    It is possible to still be selected for a position with Digi Pen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying! Once you have applied for - and the supervisor decides to offer you - a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived.
