- Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Agriculture courses up to 10 hours/week
- Organize and teach all levels of Agriculture classes
- Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
- Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
- Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester
- Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
- Master’s degree in agriculture, agricultural science, education with a specialization in agriculture, or other related agricultural area; or equivalent (must apply through YCCD’s Equivalency Application Process)
- Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience that demonstrates the clear ability to teach Agriculture to community college students
- Physical Demands Range/Step Class I - VII (based on degree and teaching experience)
- Salary Range:
Steps 1: $1,558.22 – Step 10: $2,609.76 per unit
Part‑time positions less than 0.60 FTE are not entitled to any District paid fringe benefits.
