NCWU employs part-time adjunct faculty to teach courses through the Rocky Mount Day program and also our Adult & Professional Studies Program online.
Adjunct courses taught through the Rocky Mount Day program are offered during daytime hours in the traditional semester format.
Adult & Professional Studies Adjunct OpeningsAdult & Professional Studies courses are generally offered in an 8-week or 5-week, accelerated format through evening classes. Instructors interested in applying should submit an Adjunct Faculty Application and copies of transcripts directly to the Academic Affairs Executive Assistant for consideration.
Adjunct Nursing Clinical Faculty Position Requirements:- MUST have at least 18 graduate hours in the subject field of study that they would be teaching
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred
Initial applications should include:
- A letter of application
- Copies of transcripts showing academic work in higher education and degrees received
- A teaching statement or philosophy
- Names and contact information for three professional references
- Optional (but encouraged) letter/letters of recommendation addressing academic qualifications and teaching excellence.
