** POSITION SPECIFICS
** The Communications & Case Management Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the ERC’s statewide work by developing targeted communications, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and providing timely, high‐quality technical assistance. This position requires a skilled communicator who is detail‐oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing complex tasks in a fast‐paced environment with ambiguous or evolving expectations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong writing and presentation abilities, experience facilitating meetings for diverse or high‐level stakeholders, and a customer‐service orientation that prioritizes clarity, responsiveness, tenacity, and professionalism.
** MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
** Bachelor's Degree3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

** Preferred Qualifications**
* ** 2–3 years of experience
** in communications, outreach, case management, or a related professional role.
* Demonstrated experience drafting and designing targeted messaging for multiple stakeholder groups.
* Prior experience resolving complex problems for constituents or high-level stakeholders, especially involving public sector, education, or government processes.
* ** Outstanding interpersonal skills
** with a strong commitment to customer service and stakeholder satisfaction.
* Experience with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams) and event logistics.
* ** Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
*** Experience planning, organizing, and facilitating meetings or events, preferably involving high‐level or cross‐agency stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and remain persistent and adaptable when addressing problems without clear solutions.
* Familiarity with reading or interpreting Pennsylvania laws, regulations, and other governance documents.
* Graphic design or digital communications experience (e.g., Canva, Adobe, Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
* Experience working in education, career and technical education, or public administration.
** About the Education Resource Center
** The Education Resource Center (ERC), located at Penn State Greater Allegheny near Pittsburgh, provides statewide technical assistance to the field of career and technical education (CTE) through projects funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Career and Technical Education (BCTE). The ERC’s mission is to enhance the academic and technical achievement of high school students across more than 80 CTE schools and 150 school districts in Pennsylvania through the provision of support services and the development of strategic initiatives that advance access to high-quality CTE programming.
This position is based at Penn State Greater Allegheny in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, with opportunities for a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote days). Some travel within Pennsylvania will be required to support in‐person events or stakeholder engagements.
