This is a temporary, full-time position scheduled to end on December 31, 2027.

Purpose

The Biology Course Builder works in close collaboration with OnRamps staff and the UT Austin Faculty Lead to develop the curriculum and related course assets for the OnRamps Biology dual enrollment course.

Responsibilities

* Works in close collaboration with OnRamps staff and the UT Austin Faculty Lead to redevelop the curriculum and related course assets for the OnRamps Biology dual enrollment courses.

* Creates modules, activities, assessments, and other course resources in Canvas LMS; participates in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement.

* Collaborates with OnRamps staff members and the UT Austin Faculty Lead to co-develop and implement professional learning assets for the OnRamps K-12 Instructors.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Science, or related field and five years of experience teaching at the high school or college level.

* 1+ years of experience working in professional office environment.

* Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or other LMS.

* Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders with decorum and tact.

* Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.

* Punctual, reliable, and responsible.

* Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Biology, life science or related field.

* Experience with OnRamps Canvas courses.

* 5+ years clinical or teaching experience at a high school or college level.

Salary

$60,000 + depending on qualifications
