The Office of the Registrar is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to support registration, records, and student services operations s position serves as a subject matter expert in registration and academic records processes, maintaining knowledge of university policies, FERPA regulations, Banner systems, and student records practices. Responsibilities include processing registration transactions and routine exceptions, assisting students, faculty, and staff with registration and academic records questions, and researching and resolving complex student record issues while ensuring compliance with university and federal regulations.

This position also supports key technical and operational functions related to Banner, registration, and academic history processes, including participation in system testing and resolution of reporting errors. In addition, the role oversees front desk operations, supervises student employees and support staff, coordinates training and onboarding, develops process documentation, and assists with departmental process improvements and special projects. The successful candidate will collaborate across Student Affairs and Enrollment Management to support efficient operations and a positive student experience.

To thrive in this role, you will bring strong customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with experience interpreting and applying complex policies, procedures, and regulations. The successful candidate will have knowledge of database systems – preferably student information systems such as Banner – and experience maintaining accurate records and data entry processes with a high level of attention to detail.

You should be comfortable managing a high volume of work, communicating effectively with students, faculty, and administrators, and using sound judgement to make records-related recommendations and decisions. Experience supervising staff, working collaboratively as part of a team, and providing policy and procedure guidance in a customer service environment is highly valued. Candidates should also possess intermediate computer skills and at least 3–5 years of customer service experience involving interpretation of policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred: three years of customer service experience, preferably in a higher education setting and supervisory experience.

Position Details

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
