Job Description Chamberlain University is pleased to announce a new online, part-time Anatomy & Physiology faculty position in our Bachelor of Science nursing degree program. Using state-of-the-art software, this professor will engage geographically dispersed undergraduate students in a virtual setting as they develop knowledge and proficiency in Anatomy & Physiology with coursework emphasizing interrelationships between form and function at the gross and microscopic levels of organization.

The Typical Course Of Instruction May Include

  • Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab (BIOS-251 through BIOS-256). This is a four-course sequence in which human anatomy and physiology are studied using a body systems approach.
  • Topics include basic anatomical and directional terminology, muscle tissues, cell biology, integumentary and skeletal systems; muscular and nervous systems, special senses and the endocrine system; cardiovascular, immune and respiratory systems; digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.

  • Promote student success by demonstrating a flexible style and a passion for teaching, with time and energy devoted to scholarly excellence
  • Engage with a geographically dispersed, diverse student body
  • Foster a positive learning environment by keeping accurate records, submitting grades on time, and enforcing academic and attendance policies
  • Enhance the learning environment by engaging in research, scholarship, service and academic advising

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED:

    Master’s or doctoral degree in Anatomy & Physiology or closely related field (Biology, biomedical sciences, medical physiology) with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY coursework (course code prefix ANA/PHY)
  • At least 18 credit hours of online higher education teaching experience preferred
  • Genuine passion for education and lifelong learning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong subject matter expertise
  • Commitment to serving students and colleagues with respect and care
  • Strong work ethic, continuous improvement mindset, and collaborative spirit
  • Ability to provide official transcripts or US course-by-course equivalency evaluations (NACES-approved) for all earned degrees

Additional Information

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Online:
The expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors such as course type, experience, geographic location, licenses and certifications, market factors, and department budgets.
