* ** JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
** Responsibilities:
* Assisting in scheduling student staff
* Recruiting, hire, onboard, and evaluate student staff with professional staff oversight.
* Assisting in outreach opportunities
* Lead, train, and support student staff
* Assist in leading student staff meetings
* Oversee departmental special events such as Fall staff training and Spring staff trainings and attend retreats

Expectations:
* Act as an extension of professional staff
* Strong platform of campus recreation knowledge
* Working closely with the marketing and the creative design team
* *** Job performance may include all the duties and responsibilities of positions in lower tier levels.
*** Requirements:
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to positively interact with student staff and patrons
* Complete all required Penn State LRN trainings
* Ability to work independently
* Minimum of 1 year of Campus Recreation employment preferred

Working conditions:

* Work a minimum of 12-17 hours per week
* Must be able to accommodate a variable work schedule that may include early morning, late evenings, and/or weekends.

Senior Student Managers will be working in one following areas:

IM Building, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, Fitness & Wellbeing, Competitive Sports, White Building, Tennis Center, Memberships, Stone Valley Recreation Center.
