Responsibilities

Model a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engaging in an active commitment to personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview.

Teach courses as assigned, leveraging teaching moments and opportunities through weekly announcements and emails.

Perform various administrative tasks as directed by the Instructional Mentor, Faculty Support Coordinator, Online Chairs, and other department administrators, including roster verification, reporting items, and timely submission of final grades.

Teach material from the approved curriculum in accordance with the assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.

Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.

Provide regular and timely feedback to students.

Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and reaching out to absent students.

Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.

Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.

Strictly adhere to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.

Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.

Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

Graduate-level teaching experience.
Conferred terminal degree in Tourism or Hospitality.
Preferred fields include Hospitality and Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Leisure Studies, and Recreation Management.
