Job Overview
High School Math Teacher – online, remote (MO preferred). Responsible for delivering K–12 math courses and supporting students, parents and learning coaches through the Stride K12 learning management system.
Responsibilities- Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Personalize learning for all students and demonstrate belief in students’ ability to succeed.
- Differentiated instruction based on student mastery level.
- Augment course content with appropriate tools under guidance from principal and coach.
- Maintain grade book, ensure academic integrity, make placement/promotions decisions, and alert administrators to performance concerns.
- Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and regularly communicate with students, learning coaches and parents in a timely manner.
- Support learning coaches, parents and students with curricular, instructional and basic troubleshooting issues in a virtual classroom environment following academy policies.
- Travel as required (average once per month and/or 20% of the time) for professional development, student testing and other school functions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active state teaching license.
- Clear background check.
- Residency in Missouri (remote position).
- Ability to train on K12 systems, programs and curriculum.
- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in technology use.
- Experience teaching online or in a brick‑and‑mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
- Ability to analyze and interpret numeric, tabular and graphic student data to drive instructional decisions.
- Receptive to coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Adaptability to change and new technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Maintenance of teacher certification/professional development hours.
- Exempt salary range: $48,752 – $60,940.
