Position Summary

Darden is hiring a research assistant for the Summer 2026 to synthesize and integrate methods information for graduate business methods classes.

• Locate and summarize academic literature on a variety of topics
• Write summary material of theoretical and philosophical texts with attention to how they inform research methods
• Other duties as assigned

• Very strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong synthesis skills (reading and summarizing arguments)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while balancing multiple projects
• Familiarity with key theoretical and philosophical thinkers such as Hobbs, Rawls, Locke, Weber, Foucault, and similar preferred
• Graduate students are encouraged to apply; position is open to students in business, social sciences, humanities, philosophy or other disciplines with strong writing skills

Pay rate: $25 per hour. Position offers 10–25 hours per week during the summer.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
