Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University's mission of Training Champions for Christ. It is expected that an adjunct member models a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engages in an active commitment to, and experience of, personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview. Adjuncts should view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end.

They should strive to employ a variety of techniques for the development of good learning conditions, view each student as a unique individual, and insofar as it is possible, provide for individual differences, abilities, and interests.

Responsibilities
  • Model a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engage in an active commitment to, and experience of, personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview. The candidate must be committed to the evangelical standards and mission of Liberty University.
  • Be responsible for teaching courses as assigned, incorporating weekly announcements and emails to enhance learning.
  • Carry out various administrative tasks as dictated by the Instructional Mentor, Faculty Support Coordinator, Online Chairs, and other department administrators, including roster verification, reporting items, and timely submission of final grades.
  • Teach material from approved curriculum in accordance with the assigned schedule to ensure student satisfaction.
  • Assist students in achieving completion of objectives and learning outcomes.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback to students.
  • Participate in school retention initiatives by maintaining productive contact with students and by reaching out to and aiding absent students.
  • Advise students in matters related to academics, attendance, and behaviors.
  • Maintain and report student grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.
  • Strictly adhere to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
  • Work effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
  • Qualifications, Credentials, and Competencies

    We are seeking adjunct online faculty who have earned a master’s or terminal degree in Data Science. To teach at the baccalaureate level, faculty will need to possess a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Data Science or a related field. Related fields that will be considered are:
    Data Analytics, Business Analytics.
