Position: Adjunct Global Campus Instructor - College Reading Strategies (Remote)

Adjunct Global Campus Instructor

The Adjunct Global Campus Instructor position is a part-time, temporary adjunct employment opportunity. The Adjunct Global Campus Instructor member performs duties relating to online instruction including but not limited to posting faculty guidance and expectations, participating in classroom discussion boards, grading assignments, and promptly responding to student inquiries. This is an online adjunct teaching position, and other duties may be assigned according to experience and qualifications.

The adjunct faculty member in College Reading Strategies will support students in developing the foundational reading and comprehension skills necessary for success in higher education. This role emphasizes teaching active reading strategies, critical thinking, and techniques for analyzing and synthesizing complex texts across disciplines. Faculty will guide students in improving reading fluency and applying study skills that enhance academic performance. The course equips students with the confidence and strategies to become independent, engaged readers who can navigate the demands of college-level coursework.

  • Adhere to all faculty requirements such as facilitating and engaging in classroom discussion boards, grading assignments and discussions, and responding to student inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Effectively and consistently utilize expertise in subject matter by providing personal experience and connecting course knowledge to real-world examples. Enhance course content and resources to encourage student comprehension and application of course learning outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in Education, Reading/Literacy, English, Communication, Social Science, or a closely related field.
