Instructional Designer Opportunity in Livermore, CA

Leverage your expertise in instructional design to create impactful learning experiences for apprenticeships.
Responsibilities- Design and develop instructor-led and on-the-job training programs.
- Apply instructional design methodologies to assess needs and evaluate training.
- Create learning materials, including guides, scenarios, videos, and simulations.
- Conduct task analysis for job functions and business processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design training content.
- Define learning objectives and course structures.
- Work under the guidance of a Senior Instructional Designer.
- Develop clear instructional text and scripts for various media.
- Engage with subject matter experts for content validation.
- Manage tasks and deadlines independently.
- Communicate issues and risks proactively.
- 3 years of experience in developing instructor-led training for technical skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
- Experience in performing task analysis.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Experience in developing multi-year technical training programs for adults.
- Familiarity with Question Mark, Author-It, and/or Storyline.
- Experience with PG&E Academy is a plus.
This role requires candidates to be located within PG&E territory, with monthly to quarterly travel to PG&E locations. Occasional overnight stays may be necessary for client meetings and project milestones.
