Assistant Director of Programs and Curriculum

Overview

Pitch Labs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to inspiring, educating, and mentoring aspiring high school entrepreneurs to build their first business. This is an unpaid, remote volunteer position that supports the development and scaling of school-based entrepreneurship programs, with a focus on curriculum for the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Pilot Program and related initiatives. The Assistant Director of School Programs and Curriculum will report to the Director of School Programs and work with the Program Designer, Program Development Officer, and School Programs team.

• Design, refine, and implement engaging entrepreneurship curricula tailored for high school students.
• Collaborate with the Director, Program Designer, and Program Development Officer to create lesson plans, activities, and resources aligned with Pitch Labs’ mission.
• Collect and incorporate feedback from students, mentors, and teachers to continuously improve program content.
• Align curriculum development with state standards and overall program strategy.
• Support and mentor other team members in delivering curriculum content effectively.
• Contribute to weekly team meetings and department check-ins, providing updates on curriculum progress and student outcomes.
• Support outreach and engagement with schools, teachers, and community partners to pilot and expand programs.
• Collaborate with educators and local mentors to ensure curriculum relevance and accessibility.
• Track curriculum effectiveness through student feedback, assessments, and program metrics.
• Recommend adjustments to enhance student engagement, learning outcomes, and program impact.
• Promote a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and excellence within the School Programs department.

• Experience teaching or managing high school programs, ideally in entrepreneurship or related areas.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, lesson planning, and youth-focused education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, volunteer-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Passion for entrepreneurship, education, and youth empowerment.
• Ideally located in North Carolina, though remote candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

• Minimum 8 hours per week for 6-12 months.
• Weekly team meetings and 1:1 check-ins are required.
• Volunteers must respond to messages/emails within 24 hours to maintain smooth workflows.
• Time off for exams, work, or personal events is accommodated when communicated promptly.
