Role:
Online Guitar Teacher (Remote, Contractor)
We’re looking for a warm, skilled guitar teacher to join our remote teaching team. You’ll work with school-age students (7+) and adults at beginner–intermediate levels in styles like acoustic pop, rock, worship, singer-songwriter, and basic electric guitar.
You Will- Teach private online guitar lessons (Zoom or similar).
- Assess each student’s level and goals; create simple, achievable lesson plans.
- Build solid foundations in chords, strumming, rhythm, fretboard knowledge, and healthy technique.
- Help students prepare for recitals, auditions, worship teams, bands, or performances.
- Provide clear weekly practice assignments and brief lesson notes after each lesson.
- A professional teacher website and new student leads.
- Support with branding, website presence, and marketing to help bring you students.
- Leads from our homeschool networks, partner programs, and referrals.
- Systems to make scheduling and communication easier so you can focus on teaching.
- Bachelor’s degree in Guitar, Music, Music Education, or related field (required).
- Master’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Experience teaching private guitar lessons (online or in person).
- Comfort working with kids, teens, and adult beginners.
- Strong communication skills and a kind, encouraging teaching style.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a basic online teaching setup (computer, webcam, headphones; external mic a plus).
- An acoustic and/or electric guitar available for demonstrations during lessons.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
