The Exceptional Education Services team provides enhanced, specialized support to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities and students on individual learning plans. This position develops and implements educational strategies both individually and in small groups. The Exceptional Education Resource Specialist is a champion for the student, working diligently to help students meet conceptual and mastery learning goals in a virtual and hybrid academic environment.
This position may be assigned to either students on IEP, Section 504, Gifted or English Language Learner plans based on experience and certification requirements.
Position Information:
This is a regular, full‑time position, reporting to the Exceptional Education Regional Administrator.
Compensation:
Base pay is anticipated to be between $40,079 and $45,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance.

- Provides academic support to help students meet the goals of individual learning plans, including those on IEP, Gifted, and English Language Learner plans, and students receiving services through Section 504.
- Monitors student mastery and progress on learning goals through various learning activities.
- Conducts 1:1 student and group sessions synchronously through web‑conferencing tools and virtual whiteboards.
- Communicates with students, designated school personnel, and families in a proactive and reactive cadence via phone, email, text, and chat sessions.
- Uses performance data to determine interventions and make recommendations to further support the learning goals of individual students through teacher input forms and IEP, 504, GLP, and/or ELP team meetings.
- Collaborates with the general education teacher of record on learning interventions to promote student success and reinforces positive behavioral goals and academic citizenship.
