Teaching faculty provide learning activities and support that facilitate student learning and contribute to the educational environment. Adjunct faculty are hired part‑time semester‑by‑semester, teaching a maximum of five classes per academic year.

• Teaches History courses at a variety of times and locations
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner
• Utilizes a course syllabus following institutional guidelines
• Meets with and advises students via appointment or electronic communication
• Evaluates student progress and informs students promptly
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
• Attends required meetings, trainings, and orientations
• Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned

The work is sedentary with light walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, or occasional driving. No special physical demands are required.

• Uses a PC workstation on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment
• Interfaces with internal and external contacts as needed
• Works in a climate‑controlled classroom and/or lab environment
• Hours vary by class time; instructors are available to meet students outside class instruction

• Master’s degree in History or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in History
