Department: Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Administrative Services (DAS)

Bargaining Unit: General Government (GGU) unit 18

Location: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Anchorage, Alaska

Work Schedule

Full-time onsite required; remote work up to two days per week during probation period, subject to manager approval.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Assess training needs and skill gaps independently, design targeted learning solutions aligned with department policies in budgeting, procurement, grants, and personnel processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to develop curricula, job aids, and training resources that promote consistency and compliance.
  • Deliver training through in-person, virtual, and e-learning formats, tailoring content for diverse audiences.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and consultative support to staff to apply learning and improve performance.
  • Manage and continuously improve training programs, coordinating logistics, maintaining records, and evaluating effectiveness using instructional design and adult learning principles.

Equivalent Experience

Training or education in training and development, human resources, education, instructional design, business administration, or related field; and/or progressively responsible professional experience in developing, delivering, revising, assessing, and evaluating training needs and effectiveness.
