POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education (AESE) in the College of Agricultural Sciences at University Park seeks applicants for a 48-week non-tenure track
teaching faculty member at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor starting August 2026, with a 60% teaching and 40% Extension responsibility.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach five undergraduate courses (3 credits each) annually in Agribusiness Management (AGBM), Community, Environment, and Development (CED), and Agricultural and Extension Education (AEE). The successful candidate is also expected to mentor undergraduate students.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and deliver a nationally recognized Extension program on new and emerging technologies in agriculture and agribusiness, and new technologies as they affect community development and planning.
Minimum Qualifications:
M.S. in Agricultural and Extension Education, or a related field. The successful candidate must have completed all degree requirements by the appointment date. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to teach in-person courses at the university level, and the ability to develop and deliver Extension programming. Ability to engage professionally with an inclusive population of faculty, staff, and students is required, and the successful candidate will actively strive to provide an inclusive learning environment for all.
