FullJob Description Position Summary
Provides leadership in curriculum, professional development, staff evaluation, academic planning, and compliance with Oregon educational requirements. We are looking for an administrator who understands diverse learning styles, values strong family partnerships, and thrives in a homeschool-supported charter school. $80,000 - $100,000 DOE
WORK SCHEDULE- Monday-Thursday - Must be on campus during regular school hours (8am-5:00)
- Friday - Expectation is to be available to supervisor and staff, and to attend scheduled meetings (Working from home on Friday is an option, if no meetings are scheduled.)
- $80,000 to $100,000 Full time salary (Varies depending on experience)
- This is a 12 month exempt position (contract period is July 1-June 30th)
To provide educational leadership throughout the school, for all educational staff. Provide comprehensive evaluations and regular professional development opportunities for all educational staff. Must understand and implement Oregon’s Common Core State Standards, Special Education law and Oregon’s graduation requirements in academic planning.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS- Be a strong proponent of parental involvement in the educational process
- Able to establish relationships with colleagues, students, and their families.
- Experience in educational environments; training in K-12 education;
Master’s degree or greater in teaching or education administration required. - Hold an appropriate license from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission
- Demonstrate command of the English language, both oral and written
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel
- Demonstrate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic research and communication
- Demonstrate proficiency in the creation, organization and maintenance of educational records and associated paperwork
- Demonstrate effective time management, including the ability to meet deadlines when assigned
- Successful experience as an educational leader and administrator;
Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with others - Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons
- Have experience with homeschooling benefits, curriculum, pedagogies, and learning styles
- Strong problem-solving skills: able to react calmly and effectively to various situations

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND/OR ABILITIES- Skills to appropriately manage personnel, programs and fiscal resources
- Skills to communicate effectively, both in verbal and written form to all levels of the school community
- Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and how they affect instruction
- Knowledge of graduation requirements, high school completion options and independent study
- Knowledge of college and career readiness best practices in the state of Oregon
- Knowledge of Career and Technical Education instruction and implementation
- Knowledge of STEM/STEAM instruction and implementation
- Knowledge of current K-12 curriculum and instruction strategies based on best practices
- Knowledge of SEL, Restorative Justice practices, and equity in all facets of public education
- Knowledge of research on effective teaching strategies particularly with all learners
- Awareness of State and Federal Education Law, Oregon City School District and Alliance Charter Academy school Policies
- Ability to provide direction to others and make independent judgments, keep and maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, communicate with individuals from various cultural and educational backgrounds
