Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for ELA instructors for the 2026 Math Corps UM-Dearborn summer camp. The applicant must have high grades (on the supplied school transcript) in English related courses.

Students will be required to mentor teams of college, middle school, and high school students. This involves giving lectures on literary topics and monitoring the students throughout the day, grading assignments and recording grades, supervising students at afternoon activities, and monitoring students' arrival and dismissal.

Responsibilities
* Instructors will be directly responsible for teaching and mentoring a team of middle school and high school kids. The key responsibilities of this position are:

* Explaining literacy topics to middle school students

* Preparing creative writing activities for the assigned book(s)

* Developing strong working relationships with team

* Attend an afternoon debriefing session with the camp director.

* Monitor students throughout the day.
