As a School Principal, your primary role is to drive exceptional student experience and academic outcomes that equip all students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose—college, career, and beyond—so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world.

KIPP Colorado Public Schools is a network of six free college‑preparatory public charter schools open to all students. Our 350‑person staff educates 2,600 students from ECE to 12th grade. We partner with KIPPsters, educators, families and communities to ensure that we are united around the goal of a choice‑filled future for our students.

• Read, internalize, and adhere to the KIPP Colorado Policies and Procedures manual and guidelines
• Provide an active presence, strategic supervision, and intentional monitoring to ensure student safety and engagement in rigorous learning
• Take ownership for the development of your craft and engage actively in coaching sessions
• Commit to being prepared—internalize and prepare for lessons, O3s/coaching, meetings, PD, and written communication
• Meet professional obligations, including meeting deadlines and honoring schedules
• Leverage existing professional tools, including Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
• Maintain strong attendance and be on time for all responsibilities
• Collaborate with colleagues and seek feedback in the spirit of continuous improvement
• Reflect on professional practices to meet individual development goals
• Actively participate in professional development, grade‑level, and department meetings
• Actively engage and implement all school‑wide and organization‑wide professional development
• Serve as a positive, contributing member of a grade team or functional team, collaborating to tackle common challenges and implement initiatives
• Share candid, solutions‑oriented feedback with peers and leadership on a regular basis
• Assist with student and staff recruitment and engagement—events, home visits, calls home, and related requirements
• Travel as required to other KIPP campuses, the Home Office, or PD events
• Assist with other duties as assigned (lunch duty, arrival/dismissal duty, hallway duty, etc.)

The Principal works in close partnership with the Home Office to create a cohesive, coherent experience for students and families and realize the goals of our Strategic Plan.

• Align school vision, strategy, and goals to KIPP Colorado’s organizational vision and mission
• Invest in and lead change management as we shift operating models and increase alignment
• Partner with the Home Office Team to execute strategy and develop staff
• Build context and share it to ensure alignment of campus‑based work with broader vision
• Implement and monitor organizational priorities and initiatives at the campus level
• Champion and steward KIPP Colorado’s vision, values, RIDE commitments, and strategy
• Provide input and insight to shape organizational strategy, priorities, initiatives, and implementation
