Physical Education Teacher – Iowa Virtual Academy (IAVA)

Full‑time, fully online position requiring a state‑certified physical education teacher. Teacher will deliver synchronous and asynchronous physical education content, manage the learning process, and support student progress in an individualized, data‑driven environment.

• Provide rich, engaging learning experiences for 6‑12‑year‑old students online.
• Plan, deliver, and assess instruction using Stride K12 learning management system.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student mastery levels.
• Track student progress, maintain grade book, prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and learning coaches to address instructional and technical issues.
• Collaborate with coaches and principal to align curriculum and reporting.
• Travel as required (approx. once per month or 20% of time) for professional development and testing.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active, state teaching license in Iowa for physical education (grades 6‑12).
• Clear background check.
• Must reside in Iowa.

• Experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment.
• Comfort with virtual learning platforms and technology.
• Experience with student data analysis and instruction improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Salary range: $43,877.00 – $65,815.00, contingent on experience and location.
• Possible bonus eligibility.

• Position is virtual; teacher will work from home with occasional travel.
• Full‑time, 40+ hours per week, required to maintain a professional home office.
