We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SPAC
525 – Space Law and Policy.
The course examines the complex interplay between geopolitics, international law, and national space innovation systems underlying all space activities. It is divided into three segments:
- the geopolitical history of space;
- principles of space law;
- national space innovation systems.
Candidates must hold a valid Board certification in aviation law. ERAU policy requires all adjuncts to be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. We can support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California and from U.S. military bases with limited exceptions for international locations.
Qualifications- Doctorate with a dissertation in the teaching discipline, or a Doctorate degree with a dissertation within a concentration that is in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
- Desired professional training or experience in aerospace law, including international treaties, aerospace policy development, and business law within the aerospace sector.
- Background in legal studies, political science, international relations, public administration, or engineering (aerospace/aeronautical/astronautical).
- Proven ability to provide proof of qualifications, including transcripts, professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, or verified professional industry experience.
