Stellar Virtual seeks a highly motivated and certified Secondary Math Teacher to join our team. This remote position will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective math instruction to students in grades 6-8 through our virtual learning platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mathematics concepts, excellent communication and technology skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and supportive online learning environment.

The teacher will be responsible for curriculum implementation, assessment, providing individualized support, and collaborating with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success.

• Deliver engaging and interactive live virtual lessons aligned with the Texas State Standards for Mathematics for grades 6-8.
• Utilize a variety of online teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
• Develop and deliver asynchronous learning activities, including interactive assignments, projects, and discussions.
• Provide clear and timely feedback on student work to promote understanding and growth.
• Facilitate small group instruction and provide individualized support to students as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Implement the Stellar Virtual mathematics curriculum effectively and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning and inform instruction.
• Analyze student data to identify learning gaps and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with curriculum specialists and other teachers to enhance the mathematics curriculum.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with students and parents regarding academic progress, assignments, and concerns.
• Support on-site testing events periodically throughout the year (required).
• Respond promptly to student and parent inquiries via email, phone, and virtual meetings.
• Participate in virtual professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues on best practices in online education.
• Work collaboratively with student support services, such as counselors and special education staff, to address student needs.
• Attend virtual staff meetings and contribute to the overall success of the Stellar Virtual program.

• Minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a secondary setting.
• Experience teaching a range of Middle School mathematics courses.
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing online learning platforms and educational technology tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
• Passion for working with students and fostering their academic growth.
• Residency in the state of Texas is required.

• A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
• A valid Texas teaching license with an endorsement in Mathematics (grades 6-8) or equivalent.
