Salary: $68,707 - $135,620 per year (2025-26 SVEA Salary Schedule; 2026-27 TBD). Salary range based on 1.0 FTE.
Job SummaryMeadowbrook School is hiring a 0.5 FTE teacher to teach an Elementary 1 class in our Parent Partnership Program. The class will consist of primarily Kindergarteners with the possibility of a few first graders as well. Students in the parent partnership program attend school in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays and work from home on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. In addition to teaching on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the teacher is responsible for working with families on Student Learning Plans to document time spent working remotely.
Responsibilities& Expectations
- Teach Tier I instruction using Washington State standards and district-adopted curriculum for Kindergarten and Grade 1 learners.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student data, identify students needing Tier II supports, and provide targeted interventions.
- Communicate progress with families, build positive relationships, and actively contribute to the school’s Multi‑Tiered System of Supports to ensure equitable outcomes.
- Work with families to document learning time on remote days and maintain comprehensive Student Learning Plans.
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement (students may submit a note stating when certificate is expected).
- Experience teaching Kindergarten or Grade 1 (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
- Effective communication skills with families and colleagues.
- Eligible for medical, dental, vision, long‑term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death & dismemberment insurance (provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year).
- Eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.

Not eligible. - Paid time off: 12 sick days and 2 discretionary personal leave days per school year (based on scheduled hours and position start date).
- Benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB).
