- Salary Range: $38,723.44 – $64,042.62 annually (base), $34,885.47 – $40,011.18 for teachers without license
- Stipend: $5,000 for qualified and licensed teachers
Position Title: High School Science Teacher
Department: Teaching Staff
Reports To: Principal
The Science Teacher will guide students to become critical thinkers, delivering a differentiated instructional program aligned to Colorado State Standards and Paideia principles, supporting school culture, and maintaining campus safety.

- Minimum
Required:
4‑year degree from an accredited college or university - Preferred: Colorado teaching license
- Previous K‑12 classroom experience
- Experience at a charter school
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet, simple webpage building, electronic gradebook, and email
- Teamwork and instructional planning experience
- Conflict resolution and organizational skills
- Student engagement instructional strategies
- Work at desk or in meeting configurations.
- Circulate classroom and instructional environment.
- Hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- See clearly at various distances.
- Communicate clearly in normal conversation.
- Move bodily: bend, twist, stoop, kneel, run, crawl, reach.
- Carry up to 25 lbs.
- Reasonable accommodations available.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions.
- Interpret technical instructions, synthesize information, research data.
- Use intuition and experience to complement data, design workflows and procedures.
Primary instruction is in the school building daily; remote work is permitted only in cases of school closures and is not considered a reasonable accommodation.
Other Duties and Requirements- Other duties as assigned by the director, principal, or designee.
- Occasional evenings for field trips, staff meetings, parent‑teacher conferences, and other events.
- Monitor students before/after school or during lunch and recess.
- Participation in payroll automatic deposit.
- PSAS is a public employer operating under Colorado statutes; all employees are members of the Colorado Public Employees’ Retirement Association (PERA). All employees must participate in payroll deposit and abide by PSAS policies.
