High School Math Teacher

Job Summary

Remote High School Social Studies Teacher for Indiana Gateway Digital Academy (INGDA). The role requires delivering engaging synchronous and asynchronous instruction in an online environment, overseeing student progress, and collaborating with learning coaches and families.

Preferred residency:
Indiana (may consider MI, OH, KY, IL). Salary range: $46,000 – $50,000 per year, plus potential performance bonus. Position starts in the 2026/27 school year.

• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Personalize learning for all students, demonstrate belief in student success, and maintain high expectations.
• Differentiates instruction based on student mastery levels.
• Augments course content in accordance with school policies using appropriate digital tools under supervision.
• Maintains grade book, ensures academic integrity, makes placement decisions, and alerts administrators about student performance concerns.
• Prepares students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
• Establishes and maintains positive rapport with families; communicates regularly and responds in a timely manner.
• Supports learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting.
• Travels as required (≈once per month; ~20% of time) for professional development, student testing, and school functions.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active state teaching license.
• Clear required background check.

• Experience teaching the relevant age group.
• Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
• Experience teaching online or in a traditional setting.
• Familiarity with online learning platforms.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to analyze and use student data for instructional decisions.
• Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Adaptability to change and commitment to student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Rapid learning of new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Maintenance of teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum.

Salary is determined based on qualifications, location, experience, and market conditions, typically in the lower half of the stated range. Eligible employees may receive a performance bonus. Benefits include health coverage, retirement contributions, and paid time off.

This is a fully remote, full‑time position requiring >40 hours per week. Teachers work independently from a professional home office (9‑5 or 8‑4, or per school schedule). Frequent travel may be required for face‑to‑face professional development and student testing.
